'Twas Chelley's formal tonight, and I was the school magazine photographer, so I was able to hang around as long as I liked. I ended up heading home at 10:30 so that Michelle was able to party without me hanging round ^_^ It was good fun, got some great photos (see photo album).

 

It's so not fair- I took like 150 photos of Michelle's formal, yet something like only 50 were taken of my formal :( And only a quarter of them are on my MSN Space :P I think there are 87 of Michelle's on here!!!

 

Michelle looked great- the dress really really suits her. Wish I'd been a bit more flexible when looking for my formal dress ^_^ Her hair also looked good, and so did her makeup if I do say so myself :D (I did it ;P).

 

We went round to Matthew Gianoulis's place first for photos before heading to the formal. Michelle adn her partner Jeremy went in the back of Dad's ute, sitting on hay bales. The ute was decorated with black, gold and clear starry balloons as well as black and gold streamers- Michelle's dress was goldy/bronze and Jeremy wore black with a gold striped tie. So it all matched prettily ^_^

 

Anyways, I'm tired as, so I'm gonna head off- I'll write more later. Oh, and one more thing- Geoffrey is SUCH the pimp (even though we already knew that.) Again- see photos. They'll explain. ;P

The CU Formal was GREAT fun.

The night started with me going round to Talia's place where some of her friends were helping her and Michelle get ready for the formal. I then went from her place to the Riverside Community Centre (where the formal was held) with them.

We mingled with people for a while, taking photos and trying to calm our nerves over what our boyfriends were planning.

Anyway, they turned up- an hour late, and to much applause of people waiting to start- in full plastic body suits that exterminators wear, with pesticide spray bottles etc.

So once they had their fun with that, they took off the pesticide suit things, and had their normal suits on underneath. Andre and I ended up at a table with Beebs, Bek, Alan and Lloyd.

We had the AGM first up, with a secretary's report courtesy of Scooter, a president's report(ish) courtesy of Craig, and voting for the new exec next year.

Results were unanimous except for 3 people- I won't reveal two of the names- but the other person was me, lol. There's the option of voting "yes" or "no"- and someone just didn't vote either way for me There was a dot in the "yes" box, as if they were about to tick it and then removed their pen- but there was no tick in the "no" box, either *shrugs* Heheh I don't care

So with that out of the way it was dinner time (with people mingling and taking photos while waiting for their table to be called). Dinner was good, as usual, and so was dessert (I had pavlova, yummm)- and then it was time for dancing

Progressive dances are always awesome fun. I can't remember the dances we did (we did the Monte Carlo and the Heel and Toe, I remember that) and then there were some line dances ( line dances are good fun too) including the Grapevine, Macarena and Nutbush. There was also some limbo happening (good old Jessie always starts some limbo happening although she rarely participates herself ) and I got the lowest I've gotten in a long time- and was sore for 3 days afterwards (my neck and waist, mainly). I was in probably the last 5 or so, which was pretty good, and I think the people who beat me were Kara, Gum, Michelle P, and Carla.

Then of course it was just free dancing for the rest of the night. Joel (who was "H-O-T-T hot!" in the words of Beebs) used me as a demonstration while teaching Ben M how to dance lol, and then I had to teach the stuff to Andre

So anyways, it was a good night, and we got to take flowers home at the end of the night. I'll have photos up ASAP (as soon as I have a good range of photos- ie. steal some off others seeing as my camera died an hour into the night.)
